L.A. City and County Begin Testing A.I. Permitting Tool Provided By Steadfast LA For Faster Rebuilding
We have exciting news to share that will expedite the plan check and permitting process for families who want to rebuild following January’s wildfires.
Earlier this week, both Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City announced that The A.I. plan check and permitting tool that Steadfast LA was able to provide to them at no cost is now available for use:

LA County Launches eCheck AI Pilot As Part of “Express Lane” for Faster Rebuilding
This tool can dramatically accelerate the plan check process. Now, families can upload their rebuilding plans through the Archistar A.I. model and have them plan-checked in a matter of hours before submitting them to the City or County for final approval.

Steadfast LA initially identified Archistar as a leading technology company with a track record in this space and provided the funding to develop this tool before bringing it to the City and County in partnership with LA Rises and Governor Newsom’s office.
Last night, Steadfast LA Chairman Rick Caruso joined Fox 11's Elex Michaelson to discuss how this new technology works and why it will be a key resources in getting families who want to rebuild home more quickly:
We urge the City and County to continue to deploy this tool and to cut additional red tape around the plan check and permitting process so families can rebuild more quickly and get back in their homes. We will continue leveraging technology and private-sector innovation like this to better execute this recovery and allow these communities devastated by January’s wildfires to come back faster, stronger, and safer.
